It is impossible to live a life and be part of the economic system without contributing to the polluting petro-chemical industry – of which plastic is the insidious reminder. I hate plastic more than I hate cement.

Here in japan everything has a plastic counterpart to the point of replacing perfectly functionning organic analogues. In rural areas they are obsessed with ‘cleaning up’ fallen leaves and rogue grass, burning them in mounds by the side of the road instead of at least composting it or better still leaving it to mulch on its own.

Keep up the good work, I would love to work with you in the future. I too am an artist with pro-active take on the plastic problem – current project is focused on removing all non biodegradables from my practice – using heat and sun through plant based anthotypes and working on a suit entirely made up of moss.
